The couple’s public appearance comes after Richard’s recovery from pneumonia earlier in 2024. Thankfully, the illness was mild, and he was able to celebrate his wife’s 40th birthday shortly after. The City Harvest Gala, hosted by Taye Diggs, honored Alex Cohen and John Legend for their contributions to food security in New York City. Legend attended the event with his wife, Chrissy Teigen.
